One of the most common questions regarding the ingredients of our powders is concerned with an ingredient known as Bismuth Oxychloride. Women are always asking why it seems to be such a frequent used ingredient in so many other brands of “mineral” cosmetics. Bismuth is actually the by-product from refining copper and lead, as well as an assortment of other metals.  It is a very heavy material and holds a strong chemical resemblance to antimony and arsenic, which should not be put on the skin and has no positive reactions for your complexion and can actually clog your pores leading to such things as acne.  If in fact you do use a product with this ingredient, you will easily notice a very shiny appearance.
